So you’re interested in my life?
Interesting.
My name is Keanna and I”m an alright human being. I have struggles just like everyone else. I go through adversity just like everyone else. If you have a good vibe, we’ll probably get along.

This class.. whew, chile. It’s been an experience, that’s for sure. But, it’s taught me a lot. We recently did our final shows and honestly it was so much fun. It was so cool to see all of the small things we learned turn into a whole production. People are really oblivious on what goes on behind the scenes! I was one of those people, but now that I know what goes into the production, it helps one appreciate what you might watch on television. You can realize the tiniest details and positions matter. This class really opened my eyes.
-Flash and Natural Light

Where I sit to do most of my homework. As you can see, I let in a lot of natural light in through the window and front door. You can also tell, I tend to eat my favorite snacks here, too. The lighting right here allows me to stay focused because it’s not too dark and I can see well.
-Flash

My most favorite kind of cereal. I used a flash light here while the kitchen light was off. The flash allows the focus to be directly on the cereal box.
-Natural Light outside

One of my favorite places to be to relax. Outside in my backyard, our pool is so comforting and relaxing. The natural light shines through the trees and you can see so clearly.
Growing up being in theatre, I never really paid attention to what happened in the back because I also wanted to be on the stage. This had me so close minded. Not realizing so much is going on and so many things have to be done.
In my Media Production class, we had to do some worksheets about lights. Did you know there are soooo many different types of lighting equipment? There’s also so many steps that go into the lighting alone! Many adjustments and placement. It makes me wish I would’ve listen back when I was younger because these things are actually really interesting due to the different things they can do.
We even began to work on what’s called a switcher. It plays a huge role in production and it can be a lot of work and very confusing. You’ve got to be very focused. The point is though, that if I wouldn’t have taken this class, I wouldn’t be able to expand my knowledge on the different things that people often overlook.
Future advice- Stop being so close-minded!
Growing up, I always made jokes about how I wanted to famous. I just knew I would grow up to be an actress- now, this was just a little kid dream and my mind has definitely changed.
As I’ve taken theater classes for recreation in high school, I thought “Oh, this is so easy.” I never really realized how much detail and processes go into making a film. Media Production, a class I am currently enrolled in at UT Tyler, I realize there is SO much more that goes into media production that no one would ever thing of! Whether it is editing or the not so simple task of actually recording the film, I promise there are little details you wouldn’t really expect. It’s all so tedious. There are so many steps and precautions each person of the crew and cast must complete.
This being said, if you really think film is “easy” I suggest you take Matthew’s Media Production class so can really see how much time and effort really goes into the process!
Before knowing what RSS (Really Simple Syndication) was, I never really had an interest into what I could be learning. What I mean by this, is that being subscribed to multiple different news sites- well really an site- could help me in the long run. Because I simply want to know about certain topics, I can easily have emails sent directly to me to inform me about new things. For instance, following Morphe has allowed my to know when new products are released or are coming. RSS allows me to stay in tune without having to go directly to the website everytime.
